THE Queen shares a joke with pop diva Annie Lennox yesterday at a service to celebrate Commonwealth Day.
Eurythmics legend Annie addressed the event at Westminster Abbey in London.
Wearing a top with the words ‘HIV Positive’, she spoke of the role played by the Commonwealth in tackling the virus, and of her visit to Malawi as an envoy for the Scots branch of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association.
Annie told the congregation: “The enduring sense of friendship and co-operation between Scotland and Malawi is an example of the Commonwealth at its best.
“It is also a partnership that is helping to tackle many issues, most crucially for me, the spread of HIV-Aids.”
