After 594 UK performances Ghost the Musical closes tomorrow, the 6th October at the Piccadilly Theatre in London.  Since the 28th March 2011 when the show opened to critical acclaim in Manchester each and every performance has never failed to capture the hearts and emotions of its audience of believers.

Richard Fleeshman and Caissie Levy starred in the World Premiere production in Manchester before transferring to London initially and then taking the show over to Broadway earlier this year.  Sadly the Broadway production has now closed with audiences on the Great White Way seemingly not embracing the show as warmly as London audience have.

Due to Richard and Caissie’s departure to New York producers cast Mark Evans and Siobhan Dillon as the new Sam and Molly and despite every superstition known to man connected with Friday 13th took over the roles on this very night in January.

There has been only 1 major cast change during the run in London however; Sharon D Clarke (Oda Mae Brown) and Andrew Langtree (Carl Bruner) have remained ever present in their roles since the World Premiere in Manchester.  Other cast members to have been with the production for its entirety are Jenny Fitzpatrick (Louise), Lisa D Clarke (Clara), and Ivan DeFreitas (Willie). Ensemble cast included Jez Unwin, Sally Whitehead, Darren Carnall and Paul Ayres.

So what’s next for Ghost the Musical as the curtain falls for the final time on the 6th October in London?  Well I can confirm a UK tour is in the advanced stages of planning beginning its road trip in the spring of 2013.  Full dates and venues are still to be announced.  Added to this a full US tour is also going on the road in 2013, again no dates have been released as yet.

So Ghost is not ending when the London run closes it is going on the road and will enable thousands more believers to experience the visual and emotional spectacle that this show delivers in bucket loads.

On behalf of us all at eurythmics-ultimate.com we would like to wish the entire cast and crew a fantastic final couple of shows and thank you for being part of such an amazing show.
