This weeks record of the week is this rare Our Price record shop instore promo CD. Many collectors in the UK knew they could get the rare and limited edition Eurythmics releases from any Our Price store, they were a large component of the chart return stores. Our Price changed its name from Our Price Records to Our Price Music then to just Our Price to reflect the changing formats the stores sold.

The CD here features Mark Goodier (Former Radio 1 DJ) introducing this weeks new releases, and the first track he plays is “No More I Love You’s”, the first single taken from Medusa. No more than about 150 copies would have been pressed, and how many survive today is unknown.

Our Price closed its doors for the last time in the early 2004
