4 – There Must Be An Angel

5 – Little Bird

6 – Sisters Are Doing it For Themselves

Glam UK Magazine here wrote about the event here (not sure if they attended as Sweet Dreams wasn’t on Annie’s setlist!)

Proving that she’s a philanthropist as well as a style icon, Annie Lennox showed her support for World Aids Day earlier this week when she performed live at a launch event for mothers2mothers. Over 130 guests, including Colin and Livia Firth, were in attendance to witness Lennox’s rendition of her famed classic ‘Sweet Dreams’.

The charity supports pregnant women and new mothers living with HIV in Africa, and the event raised over £200,000. Lennox, who is a long-standing supporter of the charity commented, “mothers2mothers now reaches one in five of the world’s HIV positive women- a phenomenal achievement.  There is an invaluable empathy that mothers feel towards other mothers living in the shadow of HIV and with our funding and support, they can help women like them wherever medical assistance is scarce.”

Lennox has also been tweeting her support for World Aids Day, and urging her followers ‘Find out how you can GET INVOLVED this #WorldAIDSDay ‘.

A talented songwriter, a political activist and stylish to boot? Glam certainly approves!
