The sad news that James Horner has been killed in a plane crash in Santa Barbara has been announced today, it is believed that he was flying his plane alone.
The two-time Oscar winner worked on three James Cameron films, Aliens, Avatar, Titanic as well as A Beautiful Mind, Troy and Apollo 13.
It is on the score for Apollo 13 that Annie Lennox makes 2 appearances, 1 in a track called Dark Side Of The Moon, as well as adding vocal contributions to the End Titles to the film.
The promotional version of the soundtrack is highly sought after often selling for well in excess of £100.
